Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults during your shift
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
• Promote a safe, clean, and dignified environment for residents
• Support social engagement and encourage participation in daily activities

Qualifications

• Valid GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification in the state of Maryland
• Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Demonstrated experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, respectful approach to care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and elder dignity
• Comfort with assisting mobility and safe patient transfers
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Clear verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable documentation and basic charting abilities
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
