Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living with dignity and respect
• Provide safe, compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance and feeding as needed while encouraging independence
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
• Help create a warm, home-like environment that promotes resident well-being

Qualifications

• GNA certification or equivalent (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working with older adults and assisting with mobility and personal care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Background check and any facility-required screenings/clearances

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic knowledge of geriatric care principles and resident safety
• Infection control and proper use of PPE
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Recordkeeping and following care plans
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
