Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts with variable start times, Monday-Sunday schedule set by manager

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are sterile and ready
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile field
Handle high-volume ortho cases including total joints, general, gyn, peds, and eyes
Collaborate with the OR team to deliver safe, efficient patient care
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner Surginet
Respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes when scheduled

Qualifications

2 years of OR experience required
BLS certification required
Travel experience preferred
IAHCSMM certification for sterile processing duties
Ability to scrub and support a variety of surgical specialties

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner Surginet EMR
Familiar with autoclave equipment including Steris and V-Pro
Strong sterile technique and instrument knowledge
Comfortable with ortho, general, gyn, peds, and eye procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
