End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call and every 5th or 6th weekend on call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care across all surgical service lines including neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, general surgery, and Davinci robotics
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care from pre-op through PACU
Respond to ER trauma cases when needed and support pre/post-operative patient care
Maintain flexibility to adapt to varied daily surgical schedules and procedures
Share clinical knowledge and mentor fellow team members
Uphold the highest standards of safety and patient care in every procedure

Qualifications

Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong experience in multiple surgical specialties including neurosurgery
Comfortable working across all service lines without specialized teams
Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
No current full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Experience with Davinci robotics procedures
Knowledge of pre/post-operative and PACU care
Ability to handle ER trauma cases when assigned
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to educate and support colleagues
