Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-06-2026

End Date: 09-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Assess and treat patients with diverse conditions including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Develop personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and independence
Document progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience essential
Comfortable working with varied patient populations from general medical to post-surgical cases

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in acute inpatient physical therapy
Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload of 12+ patients daily
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptable approach to treating diverse diagnoses including TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA
