Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and Cardizem
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and educators
Float to same-level Med/Surg and PCU units to support patient care needs
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication regimens
Provide emotional support and education to patients and families throughout their journey

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Charge nurse experience preferred
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, team-oriented environment
Comfortable floating between PCU and Med/Surg units
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
