Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, subdural hematomas, and other neurological conditions
Monitor patients during 24-48 hour Trend EEGs and detect subtle changes requiring critical thinking
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy
Float to MedSurg/Tele units and possibly Westgate or AZ General Laveen Campus as needed
Maintain sterile field during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Utilize strong assessment skills to evaluate cranial nerves and support patient recovery

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 2 years of experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 trauma experience required
BSN preferred, MedSurg/Tele certification preferred
Must pass dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts
Clean-shaven for men and natural hair color with no facial piercings required

Education

BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Ability to detect small changes in neuro patients
Competence in maintaining sterile field during procedures
Experience with epilepsy monitoring and neurological conditions
Comfortable floating between units and campuses
