Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Manage complex cardiac, vascular, sepsis, stroke, and post-procedure patients with a 1:4-5 ratio
Titrate critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient changes
Collaborate with a supportive team including charge nurses and patient care techs
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining excellent patient experience scores

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in managing arterial lines
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to work 36 hours per week on rotating day/night shifts
Willingness to float and adapt to different patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Titratable drips and cardiac medications
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Arterial line management
High-flow oxygen systems
Patient experience and communication excellence
Cultural sensitivity with diverse patient populations
