Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report concerns promptly
- Support nursing staff with safe patient transfers and positioning
- Document patient interactions and care in a clear, timely manner
- Communicate with patients, families, and the care team to enhance outcomes
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification required
- CPR/BLS certification required or obtained upon hire as needed
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care preferred
- Valid state nursing aide registration in good standing
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with patient hygiene, transfers, and mobility support
- Accurate vital signs measurement and basic patient assessment
- Familiarity with charting and basic electronic documentation
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Teamwork, time management, and reliable attendance
