Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure continuity of care on shift handoffs
• Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in California (required)
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts as part of per diem coverage
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care, school health, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and compassionate bedside manner
• Basic infection control and safety procedures
• Accurate charting and documentation practices
• Basic life support awareness and emergency response familiarity
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs on night shifts
