Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care during overnight hours, ensuring comfort and safety
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility and toileting
• Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff to support timely care
• Document care provided accurately and professionally in patient records
• Support a calm, restorative overnight environment that promotes patient rest and recovery
• Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and ensure smooth handoffs at shift change

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
• Comfortable and experienced working overnight shifts; per diem availability required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
• Background check and any state-required clearances as per facility policy

Education

• CNA certification (state-approved program) or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care skills: bathing, feeding, mobility assistance and toileting
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Reliable documentation and charting practices
• Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong situational awareness during overnight care
