Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly identify rhythm changes
• Perform focused patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document appropriately
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent patient care
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac conditions and care plans
• Respond effectively to emergencies and escalation protocols
• Ensure telemetry equipment is functioning and report any issues

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (California or Compact RN where applicable)
• Telemetry clinical experience or strong familiarity with cardiac monitoring
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and effective communication skills
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced inpatient environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
• Cardiac assessment and vital signs interpretation
• Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
• Proficient documentation in electronic health record systems
• Clear communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary care
