Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Manage complex cardiac, vascular, sepsis, stroke, and post-procedure patients with a 1:4-5 ratio
Titrate critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient changes
Collaborate with a supportive team of nurses, charge nurses, and patient care techs
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Champion patient experience through excellent communication and responsiveness

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call
Willingness to work at least two holidays during the contract period

Titratable drips and telemetry interpretation
Arterial line management
High-flow oxygen systems
Patient experience focus and clear communication
Flexibility to float and adapt to changing needs
