Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Viroqua, Wisconsin
Start Date: 06-22-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM nights, every 3rd weekend with holiday rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, expert care to mothers and babies throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to keep both mom and baby safe and comfortable
- Educate and support new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery so they leave feeling confident
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to respond quickly to any changes during labor and delivery
- Document thoroughly in the EMR so every member of the care team stays informed
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact license
- BLS/BCLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 5 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Comfortable working in a Critical Access Hospital setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong Labor & Delivery assessment and fetal monitoring skills
- Postpartum and mother-baby care expertise
- Ability to handle both routine deliveries and urgent situations with calm confidence
- Familiarity with Point Click EMR is a plus
