Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 10-hour shifts, with overnight call once a week and 3 weekend days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $97 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care during cardiovascular surgeries including CABG and valve procedures
Serve as scrub or circulating nurse in a fast-paced CVOR
Monitor and interpret EKG strips and hemodynamic status
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain a sterile field and assist with surgical instrumentation
Participate in on-call rotation for overnight and weekend coverage

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
Current BLS certification (AHA)
Ability to scrub preferred but not required
Active RN license in California or compact state
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac surgery knowledge
EKG interpretation skills
Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Scrub and circulating skills
Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
