Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across age groups
• Rapidly assess and triage patients, initiate appropriate interventions, and collaborate with the ED team
• Operate within EPIC to document assessments, care plans, and medication administration accurately
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias using ACLS/BLS protocols
• Perform and maintain competency in required ER skills and complete Prime testing and checklists
• Communicate clearly with physicians, specialists, and families to coordinate timely care
• Maintain compliance with required health screenings, immunizations, and facility policies

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NRP strongly preferred
• Demonstrated rhythm interpretation skills (Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening)
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, and Specialty Exam
• Current immunizations and health screenings as required by the facility

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing judgment and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced ED
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record workflows
• Cardiac rhythm recognition and ACLS algorithm familiarity
• Skilled in trauma and acute care assessments and interventions
• Effective communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
• Comfortable with 12-hour shift workflows and variable schedules
