Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, varied start times 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM (approx. end times 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM); Day shifts. STEMI call responsiveness required (in-building and in Cath Lab within 30 minutes); weekend and after-hours call as scheduled (details discussed in interview).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support Cath and EP lab procedures by preparing equipment, supplies, and patients for invasive cardiac care
• Respond rapidly and professionally to STEMI calls — be in the building and in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes
• Operate and maintain radiologic imaging equipment safely and accurately during Special Procedures
• Assist the interventional team during cases, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth procedure flow
• Perform sterile technique, specimen handling, and procedure documentation with attention to detail
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and techs to optimize patient outcomes and throughput
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and after-hours coverage as required and communicated by the team
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental policies

Qualifications

• Ohio Radiology Technologist License (required)
• ARRT certification (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year Cath/EP Lab Special Procedures Tech (SPT) experience; more experience preferred
• Ability to respond to STEMI call and be in Cath Lab within 30 minutes
• Comfortable working in both Cath Lab and EP Lab environments; on-call/weekend availability

Education

• Ohio Radiology Technologist License
• ARRT certification
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (implied by licensure/certification)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven experience with Cath Lab and EP Lab procedures and workflows
• Strong radiologic technology skills and imaging equipment operation
• STEMI recognition and emergency response proficiency
• Invasive cardiac lab support including catheterization assistance
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure
• Meticulous documentation and adherence to safety protocols
