Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Monitor residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support mealtime assistance and safe feeding practices when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and follow facility policies
• Work collaboratively with the care team to create a calm, respectful environment

Qualifications

• GNA certification or completion of Geriatric Nursing Assistant training (Class: GNA)
• Comfort working with the geriatric population and a patient, respectful approach
• Ability to work night shifts and maintain a reliable per diem schedule
• Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic resident care techniques and safe transfer/ambulation practices
• Vital signs monitoring and recognizing changes in resident condition
• Infection control and hand hygiene best practices
• Accurate documentation and time management during shifts
• Compassionate communication with residents and family members
