Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, intake/output, and other routine observations
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and patient positioning
• Document patient status and care provided accurately and promptly
• Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff and families
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and team members

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential, valid in Alabama
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous CNA experience preferred, new CNAs who are eager to learn are welcome
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic nursing care and patient hygiene
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance
• Accurate vital signs collection and documentation
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Teamwork, time management, and professional bedside manner
