Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the overnight shift
• Perform medication administration and accurate documentation in the electronic chart
• Monitor patient condition and escalate concerns to the care team promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective care
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed to keep flow smooth
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license (state-appropriate) required
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Comfortable working independent night shifts with strong clinical judgment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Previous acute care or long-term care experience a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or diploma) appropriate to RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Ability to triage, prioritize tasks, and respond to urgent situations
• Good interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
