Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the medical record
• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with nursing colleagues and ancillary staff to ensure safe handoffs and continuity of care
• Support resident comfort, safety, and dignity during overnight hours
• Participate in care planning and implement physician and nursing orders promptly

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing (appropriate for the role you are applying to)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications welcomed
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently on night shifts
• Ability to pass facility background and health screenings as required

Education

• LPN: Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Clinical assessment and early recognition of patient condition changes
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and bedside charting
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Effective teamwork, time management, and prioritization on overnight shifts
