Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Help with safe transfers, mobility assistance, and toileting needs
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Support a safe, clean, and dignified environment for all residents

Qualifications

• Current GNA or equivalent certification (required or as-regulated by state)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required health screenings
• Compassionate communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a GNA/CNA training program or equivalent certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident dignity
• Basic vital signs and infection control practices
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Reliable documentation and communication with clinical staff
• Time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for older adults
