Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled telemetry monitoring and take decisive action when cardiac changes occur
• Deliver expert tracheostomy care and airway management to high-acuity patients
• Perform thorough assessments and implement CIWA protocols when indicated
• Recognize and interpret cardiac rhythms, using EKG knowledge to guide care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute safe care plans
• Document care accurately and communicate changes clearly during handoffs
• Support unit flow by adapting to patient acuity and floating to other UCSF sites as needed

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience (required); at least 2 years telemetry experience
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• CIWA training or competency (required)
• EKG Course/Cardiac Rhythm Recognition (required)
• Trach care expertise (required)
• Previous travel assignment experience (preferred)
• ACLS (preferred)
• PCCN (preferred)
• Willingness and ability to float to other UCSF facilities
