Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to CCU patients
• Monitor and interpret patient data, vital signs, and telemetry closely
• Administer medications and advanced interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans
• Perform assessments, document findings, and escalate changes in condition
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based projects
• Mentor and support newer nurses to foster a strong clinical team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
• Critical care certification (CCRN) preferred
• Experience in Critical Care Unit or similar high-acuity setting preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility health requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic assessment, and ventilator basics
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and titratable drips
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond effectively in emergencies
• Compassionate patient- and family-centered care approach
• Team player who communicates clearly with colleagues and providers
