Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac monitoring and telemetry care across multiple units
Titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine
Interpret EKGs and respond quickly to rhythm changes
Float between Telemetry, MedSurg, Neuro, and observation areas as census needs arise
Collaborate with hospitalists, charge nurses, and PCTs to deliver seamless patient care
Educate patients and families on post-procedure recovery and cardiac health

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification preferred
Strong cardiac drip titration and EKG interpretation skills
Minimum one year of recent telemetry or MedSurg experience
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and centralized EKG interpretation
Cardiac drip titration and medication management
Post-cath, post-CABG, neuro-surgical, and general MedSurg patient care
Floating comfortably between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses
Using GE and centralized monitoring systems
Strong assessment and critical-thinking abilities
