Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU
Titrate cardiac and critical drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while managing arterial lines and advanced respiratory support
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with cardiac, vascular, stroke, sepsis, and renal conditions
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed, adapting quickly to changing patient acuity
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear medication communication, and a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines and titratable drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90 percent score during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac medication and drip management
Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Arterial line care and monitoring
High-flow oxygen and respiratory equipment troubleshooting
Patient education and clear communication
Flexibility to float and adapt to different units
