Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 3 days per week
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the healthcare team using evidence-based practice to deliver safe, optimal patient outcomes
- Direct support staff in providing compassionate, high-quality care
- Perform comprehensive assessments across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families to promote continuity of care
- Apply critical thinking skills to make sound nursing judgments with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current Iowa RN License in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- AHA Heart Code BLS certification (new hires must obtain within three months)
- Current ACLS certification
- Acute care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
Education
- Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred

- Evidence-based practice and patient assessment
- Interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
- Critical thinking and sound nursing judgment
- Knowledge of nursing practices in acute care settings
- Basic computer knowledge and technical skills
- Empathetic listening, tact, and kindness toward patients and families
