Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients on a busy Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry while managing titratable drips such as Heparin, Octreotide, and Insulin
Collaborate with a supportive team including charge nurses, patient care techs, and unit secretaries
Float to Med/Surg, ICU, and ED as needed to deliver appropriate patient care
Manage frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges in a high-flow environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Safe titration of Heparin, Octreotide, Insulin, and other IV medications
Comfort with LUCAS machines, hoyer lifts, and code carts
Team-oriented approach in a fast-paced unit
Flexibility to float across multiple hospital departments
