Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Days, 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts depending on unit need, may include weekend call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during a wide variety of procedures including ortho, robotics, neuro, GYN, urology, vascular, and general surgery cases
- Provide first-assist support for total joints, robotic hysterectomies, spine surgeries, and more
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient operating room experiences
- Float between Mercy Hospital Downtown and Mercy Southwest to support patient care needs
- Respond to occasional forced-call situations on a fair rotation basis
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Cerner experience required
- Proven experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN surgical specialties
- No first-time travelers
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of DaVinci robotic systems
- Familiarity with ortho totals, scopes, and TSA procedures
- Experience with neuro cases including craniotomies and spine surgery
- Comfortable with GYN oncology and robotic procedures
- Ability to adapt quickly between multiple surgical specialties
