Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care nursing for pediatric intensive care patients
• Continuously assess and monitor patient status, intervene promptly, and escalate when needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
• Document patient care and communicate changes clearly to families and the care team
• Participate actively in orientation and training to maintain best practices in PICU care

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (must be valid in California)
• Experience or training in pediatric/critical care settings (PICU)
• Current BLS certification; PALS and ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented critical care environment
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills in pediatric critical care
• Familiarity with pediatric ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficient charting in electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
• Ability to prioritize multiple critically ill patients and tasks under pressure
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach to care
