Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments safely and compassionately to adult and geriatric patients
• Operate and perform patient setup on Elekta Infinity and Elekta Synergy treatment units, using CBCT and kV/mV imaging
• Perform simulation, treatment planning assistance and pretreatment activities including custom molds and shields
• Execute IMRT, SRS, SBRT and other specialized therapies following prescribed plans and safety protocols
• Chart treatments and patient interactions in Epic, ensuring accurate documentation and chart checks
• Maintain radiation safety standards and isolation/PPE protocols to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, providing education and support throughout treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, respiratory, and rapid response for coordinated care

Qualifications

• ARRT (Therapy) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience (facility indicates 1 year required)
• Active state license for Radiation Therapy (pending licenses not accepted)
• Experience or willingness to train on Elekta Infinity and Elekta Synergy systems
• Proficiency with Epic charting preferred
• Ability to float between like units as needed and adapt to unit workflows

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy program or equivalent training
• ARRT(T) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiation safety and isolation precautions
• CBCT / kV-mV imaging and B-mode acquisition targeting
• IMRT, SRS, SBRT treatment modalities
• Respiratory gating and motion management techniques
• Beam modifying and patient positioning, including wedges and portal casting
• Custom mold and shield fabrication experience
• Charting and chart checks in Epic
• Patient lift/transfer devices and care of patients in restraints
• Emergency case response and ability to support rapid changes in patient status
• Familiarity with Mosaiq and C-RAD systems is a plus
