Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum respiratory care across all ages — from neonates to adults
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide acute respiratory interventions
• Conduct EKGs and other diagnostic respiratory procedures as needed
• Manage and operate ventilators and noninvasive support (PB980, Hamilton C1, V60 BiPAP)
• Deliver independent respiratory treatments and assessments in ER, inpatient and outpatient settings
• Serve as the on-site respiratory resource when staffing requires you to be the sole RT
• Participate in fit testing processes and adhere to infection control and PPE policies

Qualifications

• Active North Dakota Respiratory Therapy license required at time of submission
• CRT or RRT required (CRT or RRT preferred/expected)
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• PALS and NRP strongly preferred
• Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience
• Comfortable working independently and as the only RT on shift when needed
• Must be able to pass required fit testing (facial hair may preclude passing; Portacount/PAPR limitations apply)
• Cannot be currently employed FT/PT/PRN with facilities affiliated with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity per radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Meditech EMR charting
• Hands-on experience with ventilators: PB980 and Hamilton C1
• Skilled in noninvasive ventilation: V60 BiPAP and related equipment
• Strong ABG collection and interpretation skills
• Ability to perform EKGs and routine respiratory diagnostics
• Experience across care settings: ER, inpatient, and some outpatient
• Familiarity with fit testing procedures and PPE protocols
