Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging studies with attention to diagnostic detail
• Start IVs as needed and manage safe contrast administration
• Operate and maintain CT scanners (GE and Siemens equipment in department)
• Use EPIC for charting and Fuji Synapse PACS for image handling and communication
• Manage a busy workload (approximately 25 studies per day) while keeping patient care front and center
• Collaborate directly with in-house radiologists and the radiology team to ensure timely results
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and trauma protocols for a Level 1 environment
• Provide compassionate patient education and positioning to optimize imaging outcomes
• Float to outpatient areas as needed and assist across the CT team to meet demand
• Complete required documentation and participate in department orientation and training

Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience preferred
• Comfortable and proficient with IV starts
• Experience with EPIC and PACS (Fuji Synapse preferred)
• Experience on GE and Siemens CT equipment preferred
• Able to work weekends and holidays and support a Level 1 trauma environment
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to comply with a 60-mile radius requirement; DL must be submitted
• Ability to be in-state for the week of orientation even if initial modules are remote

• Cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging protocols
• Image acquisition, reconstruction, and quality assurance
• PACS workflow (Fuji Synapse) and image communication best practices
• EPIC charting for radiology and integration with imaging workflows
• IV access and contrast administration techniques
• Radiation safety principles and dose optimization
• Patient positioning, trauma imaging protocols, and emergency response collaboration
• Familiarity with GE and Siemens CT system interfaces and maintenance basics
