Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (Total Hours No Break: 12.5). Exact start/end times and scheduled days to be provided by the facility; Med/Surg unit

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans that make a real difference
Administer medications and treatments safely and document all interventions thoroughly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate smooth transitions of care
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Educate patients and families with clarity and compassion to support recovery and self-care

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (ability to practice in New Hampshire required)
Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment and prioritize patient safety

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing fundamentals and patient assessment
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Accurate clinical documentation and electronic health record (EHR) familiarity
Effective teamwork and collaboration across clinical disciplines
Time management and the ability to multitask during busy shifts
