Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to Med/Surg patients
Perform thorough assessments and document findings accurately
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
Monitor patient progress and promptly escalate changes in condition
Contribute to quality improvement and unit-based initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse licensure in Hawaii or compact RN licensure eligibility
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Clinical experience or comfort working on a Med/Surg unit preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and meet the physical demands of the role
Professional attitude, teamwork mindset and patient advocacy

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg nursing clinical skills and patient assessment
Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
Accurate electronic medical record documentation
Strong prioritization and time management
Clear communication with patients, families and clinical teams
Adherence to hospital policies, safety and infection control standards
