Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts; specific start/end times and days to be provided by the facility (operates in Eastern Time)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patient condition and deliver compassionate, evidence-based care on Med/Surg units
Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
Perform thorough documentation in the electronic health record to ensure continuity of care
Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license (Georgia) or eligible to obtain Georgia licensure
Med/Surg clinical experience (experience level discussed during hiring)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices and patient care standards
Proficient with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills
Teamwork mindset and adaptability to changing unit needs
