Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU
Assess, monitor, and document patient status and changes
Administer medications and advanced interventions safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to develop and execute care plans
Respond rapidly to emergencies and implement life-saving interventions
Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and recovery
Prioritize patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based practice

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (Hawaii license or compact eligibility preferred)
Critical care experience in an ICU setting
BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred or required by facility
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit scheduling needs
Professional, compassionate communication and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Familiarity with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and bedside technology
Medication administration and titration in critical care
Acute care interventions and emergency response
Charting/documentation and handoff communication best practices
Ability to prioritize in high-acuity environments
