Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour ICU shifts (start/end times vary; day and night rotations possible)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU
Assess, monitor and document patient status and progress
Administer medications, manage ventilators and perform advanced bedside procedures
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and the interdisciplinary team
Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in code responses
Educate patients and families about care plans and condition changes
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible for Hawaii licensure)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain promptly)
ICU experience preferred; comfort with critical care equipment and monitoring
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and teamwork mindset
Ability to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and hemodynamic monitoring
Ventilator management and advanced airway support
IV therapy, medication administration and titration
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong prioritization, situational awareness and crisis management skills
Compassionate patient and family communication
