Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform rapid, thorough emergency assessments to prioritize care and stabilize patients
• Deliver evidence-based treatments and interventions for acute and critical conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies and advanced nursing procedures safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in the electronic health record
• Provide compassionate patient and family education during high-stress moments
• Maintain situational awareness, infection control practices and equipment readiness

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license for Hawaii or ability to obtain state licensure
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous emergency department experience is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to triage, prioritize and make sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced setting
• Strong communication, teamwork and documentation skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency nursing assessment skills
• IV insertion, medication administration and basic procedural skills
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and multi-task under pressure
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient-centered, team-based care
