Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living with dignity and compassion
Provide safe, hands-on personal care like bathing, dressing, and mobility support
Support nursing staff by taking and charting vital signs and observations
Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
Communicate changes in resident condition promptly and clearly to the team
Document care accurately and contribute to a person-centered care plan

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in New York (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
Reliable, compassionate attitude and strong teamwork skills
Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is helpful but not required

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and ADL support
Vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and follow care plans
Familiarity with electronic health record basics is a plus
