Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Monitor residents and report changes in condition promptly to nursing staff
Help with safe transfers and mobility support, using proper body mechanics
Document care provided accurately and timely, maintaining resident confidentiality
Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, resident-centered environment

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification in the state of Connecticut
Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Comfortable with hands-on patient care and physical tasks
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a compassionate attitude
Previous long-term care experience preferred but new grads are welcome to apply

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic nursing care and infection control practices
Familiarity with charting and electronic or paper documentation
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Good observational skills and ability to follow care plans
Customer service mindset when interacting with residents and families
