Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate handoffs effectively
- Assist with meal, hygiene and comfort needs to promote dignity and wellbeing
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to follow care plans
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (certification valid in Pennsylvania preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced care setting with strong teamwork skills
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care, ADLs, and vital sign measurement
- Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively as part of a team
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and care delivery
