Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and support for residents, making their comfort a priority
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding
• Monitor and document vital signs and resident conditions accurately and promptly
• Communicate changes in resident status to nursing staff and participate in care planning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
• Support emotional and social needs through friendly interaction and engagement
• Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to ensure resident safety
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• CPR or BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and patient transfers, following safe lifting practices
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but caring attitude matters most

Education

• CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living and resident hygiene needs
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Understanding of infection prevention and control practices
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
