Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Continuously monitor patients' conditions and respond quickly to changes
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary team members to implement care plans
• Administer medications, titrate drips, manage ventilators and perform complex interventions safely
• Document care accurately and communicate handoffs clearly to ensure continuity
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Mentor and support colleagues to maintain a strong, skilled ICU team

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in Hawaii or willing to obtain state licensure)
• Critical care nursing experience in an ICU setting (experience preferred)
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong assessment skills and experience with ventilator management and vasoactive drips
• Ability to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts, including nights and weekends as needed
• Current immunizations and any facility-required screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of critical care nursing principles and ICU protocols
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Skilled in advanced cardiac life support and emergency response
• Effective communication and team collaboration under high-acuity conditions
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments
• Competence with ventilator settings, hemodynamic monitoring and infusion therapy
