Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with precision and patient-centered care
Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety protocols
Position patients and select proper imaging techniques to produce high-quality images
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure accurate results
Adhere to radiation safety standards and documentation requirements
Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients to ease concerns
Document procedures and maintain patient records in the imaging system

Qualifications

Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification or equivalent
Active Louisiana state radiologic technologist license or ability to obtain
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfortable operating standard radiography equipment and PACS
Strong patient care skills and professional communication
Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation

Education

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in diagnostic radiographic techniques and patient positioning
Familiarity with PACS and electronic health record systems
Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
Good clinical judgement, attention to detail and time management
Ability to interact compassionately with patients of all ages
