Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
Support hygiene, feeding, and comfort needs while preserving dignity
Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with staff
Promote a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (required) — must meet Connecticut state requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and any required health screenings
Strong communication skills, empathy, and ability to work well on a team

Education

CNA certification (required)
High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in basic patient care and assisting with ADLs
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
Good time management, observation, and reporting skills
Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork orientation
