Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist residents with hygiene, dressing, mobility and transfers safely
Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Support care plans by documenting observations and care provided in a timely manner
Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families and teammates
Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active CNA certification in Connecticut or ability to obtain state certification
Completion of facility onboarding and required health screenings/background checks
Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Reliable, compassionate, and able to work as part of a team

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic patient care and ADLs
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
Comfortable with basic charting and documentation
Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
