Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity
Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of Connecticut (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background and health screenings per facility policy
Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident-centered care
Basic infection control and safety practices
Comfort with documentation and following care plans
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, compassionate healthcare settings
Strong interpersonal skills to connect with residents and families
