Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding and mobility, keeping dignity first
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Document patient care and observations clearly and promptly
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists and families to support coordinated care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required facility screenings
• Compassion, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (standing, lifting, assisting mobility)

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Successful completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

• Basic nursing care and comfort measures
• Measuring and recording vital signs
• Activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
• Infection control and safe patient handling
• Accurate documentation and charting
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
