Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with compassion and dignity
Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and reporting changes to the nursing team
Maintain accurate resident records and communicate observations clearly to nurses and supervisors
Support a safe and clean environment by following infection control and facility protocols
Build meaningful relationships with residents, offering emotional support and companionship
Collaborate with the care team to ensure each resident’s individualized plan of care is followed

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Comfort with physical aspects of the role (standing, lifting, assisting residents)
Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality resident care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Current CNA certification (state of PA)

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical knowledge: vital signs, ADLs, infection control
Familiarity with resident safety protocols and emergency procedures
Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
Teamwork mindset and willingness to take direction from nursing staff
